In a den of vintage Victoriana nestled in London’s picturesque village of Crystal Palace, Teasels was birthed to the world, kicking and screaming and dressed in nought but a boa, tassels and a sparkly tiara.

And now, our baby takes on Hackney.

Join us for exuberant evenings of Queer cabaret magic at iconic East London hotspot Chats Palace, where the Teasels team will bring the party for all levels of drawing ability and cabaret experience, because frankly, parties are where creativity thrives. Expect dazzling stand-up, nudity (of course), infectious energy and a room full of people ready to have an absolutely brilliant time…drawing boards at the ready.

Hosted by the mayhem maker deluxe Tizzy Von Tassel and her entourage of art nude divas offering up their own inimitable take on cabaret (and even burlesque) Queerness and performance. 

Arrive early to grab a drink at the bar (open from 6 pm) and soak up the atmosphere before the curtain call….

Pride Wide

Seeking Expressions of Interest for Inaugural Auction Fundraiser for LGBTQIA+ Media Charity

Pride Wide is a non-profit publisher, broadcaster and growth consultancy advancing LGBTQIA+ rights and lives across the globe. It provides fact-checked information, telling human stories to win hearts and minds and advance the social and political liberties.

It will be holding its inaugural auction at the end of the year, a fundraising initiative that would enable the organisation to extend its impact and reach, including:

Representation: Providing a cultural initiative and visual platform for LGBTQIA+ narratives through authenticity and inclusivity.

Engagement: Creating a platform through art that connects the public, institutions, sponsors, donors and community events.

Empowerment: Supporting artists from different backgrounds and fostering new dialogues between the LGBTQIA+ community, institutions and the public.

Impact: Generating funds through art sales, donorship, sponsorship and events, directly funding Pride Wide’s mission and work.  

A percentage of the proceeds (from the silent and in-person auctions) will be contributed to Packed Lunch's own charitable work in nurturing learning and growth through creation and, more broadly, advancing visual storytelling.

The remainder will support the critical mission and aims of Pride Wide, registered as a charity in England and Wales (1208890).

Life Drawing at Ajamu Studios

When we were approached by iconic artist-photographer, curator, archivist and activist Ajamu X to offer life drawing in his South London creative haven, there was only going to be one answer. Absolutely, YES!

From the beginning, our vision and Ajamu’s vision for the sessions were aligned - to highlight his critical work around Black LGBTQIA+ experiences and to celebrate the body-positive. In aid of this, Life Drawing at Ajamu Studios and it’s fellow even Kink and Draw feature models primarily from the global majority - still very much underrepresented as artists’ subjects - who accentuate and celebrate the thrust of his work and their own inimitable Queerness, regardless of sexuality.

Whether you're a seasoned life drawer or brand new to the experience, whether you’ve attended our Tuesday sessions before or are discovering us for the first time, there's a place for you in the life room. Come for the drawing. Stay for the community. Guidance and refreshments are included.
